SYSTEMATIC CALISTHENICS COACH DESIGNATIONS & CERTIFICATION PATHS 

 

    

Systematic Calisthenics is the first to establish a Strength Pyramid categorizing over 108 movements across 16 levels- ranging from those who cannot yet do a Push-up to professionals working toward their Planche, and every person in between. It is a specific class of training that utilizes three primary push and two primary pull movements as indicators of one's strength level, with the goal of graduating to the next series of movements. This system takes both a balanced and systematic approach to strength training, with a large focus on understanding the use of regressions and progressions. Systematic Calisthenics was founded with one goal in mind: Evolve the current vision of Calisthenics to one more easy-to-understand and implement for all ages, body types, and skill levels via a structured and rewarding learning experience!

The Systematic Calisthenics Coach Training is primarily designed for Personal Trainers or dedicated fitness enthusiasts who already have a general understanding of fitness terminology and the practical approaches to training. It can also be very beneficial for yoga teachers or health professionals who utilize and recommend bodyweight-based strength training in their practice, but are looking for a more structured system based on regressions and progressions to maximize efficiency.

These certification courses are 100% online and consist of live lectures, supplemented with audio-files, movies, and printable charts and infographics.  Because the course is online, lectures will be recorded for you to playback and review or watch if you cannot make the live lectures. There will also be a private forum where you can ask questions, share experiences, and both get and give feedback to/from your fellow classmates.

Live Lectures via Zoom will take place on Saturdays from 8:00am-10:00am PST.

The length of the training and tuition rate depends on the designation level you aspire to reach.

BASIC UPPER BODY COURSE 

  •  Breakdown Levels 1.0-3.3 of the Systematic Calisthenics Strength Levels Pyramid

  • Gain a theoretical and practical understanding of Foundational to Intermediate movements, such as Push-Ups, Rows, Dips, Pull-Ups, and Handstands

  • Discover the specific path for troubleshooting each movement for possible discrepancies, issues or pains, as well as, how to apply progressions and regressions when needed. 

  • Learn to effectively design a beginner-intermediate upper body workout utilizing basic fitness principles and Systematic Calisthenics methodology  

 

 

ADVANCED UPPER BODY COURSE 

  •  Breakdown Levels 3.3-6.0 of the Systematic Calisthenics Strength Levels Pyramid

  • Gain a theoretical and practical understanding of Foundational to Intermediate movements, such as Front/Back Levers, Muscle-Ups, Planche, and other advanced supplemental movements

  • Discover the specific path for troubleshooting each movement for possible discrepancies, issues or pains, as well as, how to apply progressions and regressions when needed.

  • Learn to effectively program an intermediate-advanced upper body workout utilizing basic fitness principles and Systematic Calisthenics methodology

BASIC LOWER BODY COURSE 

 

  • Gain a theoretical and practical understanding of Foundational to Advanced bodyweight-based movements, such as Squats, Lunges, Hinges, and when/how to efficiently add weight

  • Discover the specific path for troubleshooting each movement for possible discrepancies, issues or pains, as well as, how to apply progressions and regressions when needed.

  • Learn to effectively program a lower body workout utilizing basic fitness principles and Systematic Calisthenics methodology

BASIC TRAINING METHODOLOGY

  • Learn to effectively program a complete and progressive full body workout for Beginner to Intermediate students based on various goals

  • Understand the factors and techniques behind Sequencing an effective bodyweight workout based on skill, level, performance, and more

  • Gain the essential knowledge to apply this information in group-class settings, including how to design the workout based on attendance, supplies on hand, time limit, and more.

 

 ADVANCED TRAINING METHODOLOGY

  • Learn to effectively program a complete and progressive full body workout for Intermediate to Advanced students and athletes based on goal

  • Understand the factors and techniques behind Sequencing an effective bodyweight workout based on skill, level, performance, and more

  • Gain the essential knowledge to apply this information in group-class settings, including how to design the workout based on attendance, supplies on hand, time limit, and more.

MOBILITY AND RECOVERY COURSES

  

  • Understand the difference between Mobility and Flexibility, and the necessity of both in a balanced training regimen. 

  • Discover various methods for increasing mobility and maximizing recovery, including Self-Myofascial Release, Yin Yoga, Trigger Point Therapy, and other holistic approaches toward maximizing recovery

  • Understand the connection between Breath, Stretching, and the Nervous System
